North sulawesi birding trip for 9 days

Day 1: Arrival in Manado –
Tangkoko Nature Reserve.
You arrival in Manado, meeting service, transfer to Tangkoko Nature reserve,
birding along the way (if possible)
Night: Homestay or lodge near park.

Day 2: Tangkoko Nature
Reserve.
Full day of birding in the park to look for target species such as Red-backed
Thrush, Lilac-cheeked Kingfisher, Green-backed Kingfisher, Ruddy Kingfisher,
Knobbed Hornbill, Red-bellied Pitta, Spot-tailed Goshawk, Sulawesi Goshawk,
Purple-winged Roller, Sulawesi Babbler, Blue-backed Parrot, Yellow-breasted
Racquet-tail, Isabelline Bush-hen, Sulawesi Nightjar, Tabon Scrubfowl, Large
Hanging Parrot and Pygmy Hanging Parrot. Sulawesi Dwarf Kingfisher,
Ochre-bellied Boobook, Pied Cuckoo-shrike, Sulawesi Triller, White-bellied
Imperial Pigeon, Silver-tipped Imperial Pigeon, Sulawesi Cicadabird, Sulawesi
Hawk-eagle, Sulawesi Serpent Eagle and Sulawesi Short Crested Myna. A part of
the day using an outrigger boat trip across mangrove forest to see Black-billed
Kingfisher, White-rumped Cuckoo-shrike and shore birds. In the evening you’ll
be introduced for nocturnal primate or Tarsier called Tarsius spectrum that can
be found in the North Sulawesi only.
Night: Homestay or lodge near park.

Day
3: Tangkoko Nature Reserve.
Birding early in the park to look for target species that still missed.
Night at the homestay.

Day 4: Tangkoko – Kotamobagu.
After breakfast packing stuff, trip continues driving to Kotamobagu. Birding
along the way.
Night: Senator Hotel or Ranger’s house at Sinsingon village.

Days 5 -6 : Bogani Nani
Wartabone National Park
Two days exploring endemic species at Bogani Nani Wartabone National formerly
known formerly known Dumoga Bone. Driving early to Tambun where is a chance to
see Maleo and its nesting ground, birding continues along Molibagu roadside.
After lunch birding on Toraut forest to find-out Speckled Boobook and a good
view or Raptors, Hornbills and Racquet-tails.
Night: Guest House or Ranger’s house near park.

Day 7: Kotamobagu – Tomohon
(Minahasa highland).
Still birding in the park, then journey continues driving 4-6 hours to Tomohon.
If still have light arrive in tomohon we can birding on Mahawu forest to find-out Scaly-breasted Kingfisher if
still missed on Gunung Ambang.
Night: Guest House or camp-site near park.

Day 8: Tomohon
Early morning Still birding on Mahawu forest for scaly breated kingfisher (our target) superb fruit dove,red eared fruit dove, sulawesi malhoha, sulawesi jugle flycatcher, Speckled boobook, Island Flycatcher, Sulphur-bellied Whistler, Grey-sided Flowerpecker, Yellow-sided Flowerpecker, Mountain Tailorbird,Citrine flycatcher, Black-fronted White-eye, Mountain white-eye, Crimson-crowned Flowerpecker,
Sulawesi Myzomela, Crimson Sunbird, Etc
Night: Guest House or camp-site near park.

Day 9 : Tomohon - Manado airport
After breakfast perparing your luggage and than drop off you to the airport, the end of tour
thank you.
